Life Spectacular
Enjoying the little things in life. I’ll be honest, sometimes for me that’s hard. I’m always looking for something new to learn, something new on the horizon, or just something new in general. Though I tend to have a lot of interests and hobbies that keep me busy outside by crazy day job - I also find myself getting bored with the mundane.
But then I have those days - when the sun is just right, the vibe around me is groovy, and there’s nothing in particular that is spectacular. But I can’t help but smile out of pure satisfaction. Just for the spectacularness that is life.
Self Reflecting
I’ve been doing a lot of self-reflecting lately. I started the new year off right, been doing great at my job and was having a ton of fun with friends. But then it hit me and I just went through it - What am I REALLY doing with my life? Is where I am now where I want to be in 1 year, 5 years? It’s hard to have that conversation with other people but even more difficult to be real with yourself. I’m still going through it but the one theme I continue to circle back on is the importance of the relationship with myself. I truly believe it is the most important relationship in your life and it just so happens, I’m still working on that. And that’s ok…without it you can’t build other great relationships. So cheers to 2022 and putting me first…everything else will just have to wait :)
Getting Flashy for the Holidays
Working long days the past 2 weeks has me dreaming of furry coats, cocktails and the Holiday season with family and friends.
Normally these days I don’t dress up too much. I prefer the “casual chic” plaid with gold hoops, black ripped jeans and the occasional “fancy” bootie. Or…to be really honest…straight up black leggings, a hoodie and my sneakers (you should see how many hoodies I own).
But - in looking back on pictures this time last year I found this and was reminded of the gem of a faux fur coat that I own and can’t wait to bust out again. It only makes it better because I first wore this at my best friend’s wedding…and it was purchased at 60% off. Girl loves a good deal :)
When in Rome
Rome. The New York of Italy. 95 degrees and hotter than hell the summer of 2021 - but I couldn’t be happier to be sitting on this ledge.
My friend and I had met at the old Hotel Excelsior just 1 day before to kick off our Italian getaway…and we pretty much did not stop walking for 3 straight days. Sweating our asses off in the hot heat and eating gelato that melted down our face within 2 seconds of us buying it.
This is one of my favorite pictures taken from the trip. Despite the craziness of the crowds behind us, I was able to get a moment to myself to make a wish at the famous Trevi Fountain. I wished for the best trip ever to Italy…and boy did my wish come true:)
